BMS Solutions and Energy Efficiency

Even though the economic situation has generally been unfavorable for some time, Lisscom continues to be present at events about energy, sustainability, and smart city solutions, both domestically and abroad.

We are also requested to implement Bosch Building Automation BMS solutions for companies that want to benefit from and transform their headquarters or managed buildings into smart, sustainable, and energy-efficient facilities.

This is due to the fact that our solutions are adaptable for each individual project but also upgradable, and the results obtained are visible and verifiable over the years. This translates into utility bill savings for one or multiple buildings.

A management solution that collects real-time data from equipment located in one or more buildings, transforming them into trends and events stored in a data history from the date of implementing the Building Management and Optimization Systems (BMS) up to the present. This history shows daily / weekly / monthly / yearly consumption, how management was carried out for each building, and above all, the energy efficiency achieved.

The BMS system implemented by Lisscom has all the safety elements. The client can access the system via the internet, from anywhere in the world, based on a username and password. The return on investment occurs between 12 and 24 months, or even faster, depending on the equipment managed by the BMS system.

Strengthening partnerships across borders

After a few years, we were happy to welcome our system partner, LISSCOM SRL from Romania, back to our headquarters in Verl!

Together, we explored the Bosch project at the "Ishara" sports and leisure pool in Bielefeld, exploring innovative applications in pool technology and energy efficiency.

The visit continued with a tour of our production facilities and inspiring discussions about future innovations on both sides. We look forward to further cooperation!

Participation in Expo Real 2025 Munich

A discussion with AHK Romania was a source of inspiration that led to the firm decision to participate in EXPO REAL (Messe MĆ¼nchen) 2025 as exhibitors, to be part of the joint Romanian stand organized by AHK Romania, and the opportunity to represent Romania was a great honor.

Even though this decision was made at the last minute, we managed to organize ourselves to ensure representation at the highest level. Lisscom SRL attracted the interest of exhibitors and visitors from the United States, Germany, Australia, Portugal, Poland, Great Britain, Croatia, the Netherlands, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, France, Austria, Moldova, Italy, Turkey, Spain, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, etc.

Lisscom SRL had the great honor of being the only Romanian company invited to the exclusive and private event: VIP Investor Dinner, organized by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia.

EXPO REAL (Messe MĆ¼nchen) 2025 brought together 1,742 exhibitors and 42,000 visitors from over 70 countries. It is the perfect place to feel the pulse of the economy, the ideal place to establish new contacts and, last but not least, the place where international business opportunities arise, which we intend to capitalize on.

Heating System Modernization ā€“ RETROFIT

This solution applies to all cast iron boilers, regardless of manufacturer and capacity. Manufacturers initially guaranteed a lifespan of 30ā€“50 years for the cast iron body. In many cases, the boiler remains in good condition, but with certain inconveniences:

  • Inefficient burner (maximum efficiency 90%).
  • Outdated electrical and electronic components with functionality issues.
  • Worn components (pumps, 3-way valves, boiler parts).
  • Lack of an adequate electrical network for integration with heat pumps.

Modernization solutions:

By implementing the solutions developed by LISSCOM, adapted to the type of thermomechanical installations, the heat production and distribution system can be continuously monitored and managed through Bosch Building Automation modules, ensuring:

  • Safe operation of the equipment.
  • Continuous monitoring of the equipment.
  • Remote alarm notifications via email and SMS.
  • Local display (HMI).
  • Local alarm notifications.
  • Data storage in the form of trends.
  • Integration with SCADA systems.

Results achieved:

  • Reduction in gas consumption: 20ā€“30%.
  • Reduction in electrical energy consumption: 20ā€“40%.
  • Increased equipment lifespan: +15 years or more.

Through the implemented retrofit solutions, LISSCOM offers efficiency, safety, and long-term sustainability for heating systems.

Modernization and Energy Efficiency - Steam Production System

Modernization and energy efficiency, transforming the operation into a 72-hour non-permanent supervision regime of a steam production plant consisting of 3 boilers (2 pcs x 3t/h-12bar + 1 pc x 6t/h-12bar) produced by ICI Caldaie.

The beneficiary is a global industrial leader with activity in Romania, and the plant is ISCIR authorized according to PT C11-2010.

Results and performance achieved:

  • Reduction of natural gas consumption by 25%.
  • Elimination of pressure reducer failures and certain equipment in the steam installations.
  • Elimination of accidental production stoppages.
  • Elimination of manufacturing rejects.
  • Increased productivity of manufacturing lines.
  • Compensation for the lack and necessity of authorized human personnel (stokers), which is deficient during this period.
  • Equipment operation security as well as their energy management is achieved by implementing a SCADA server in compliance with ISO 27001 and ISO 50001 standards.

The project is realized and implemented using Bosch Building Automation equipment, and the specific software is designed in Brașov by our company's specialists.

Non-permanent 72-hour supervision of steam boilers

Recently Lisscom implemented a successful project by modernizing a steam boiler Viessmann 6 t/h - 16 bar, using Bosch Building Automation equipment, as well as designing the operating software according to the technical prescription ISCIR PT C11-2010.

Results obtained:

  • Optimization of energy consumption.
  • Elimination of accidental stops and related production losses.
  • Efficient management, in maximum safety conditions, of pressurized equipment.
  • Increasing the operating period of the equipment.
  • Replacing authorized personnel (stokers), which is deficient in the current economic context.
  • At this moment, through the equipment installed by Lisscom, the boiler is authorized for 72-hour non-permanent supervision by CNCIR, operating according to operating standards in complete safety.

Efficiency through automation and energy storage

LISSCOM participated in the conference ā€œEfficiency through automation and energy storageā€ organized by energynomics.ro, on Thursday, April 26, in Cluj Napoca, which was the second event of the awareness campaign ā€œEnergy efficiency for results that matterā€ this year. Over 50 experts from Cluj-Napoca participated in the debates, which were also stimulated by the presentation of our colleague Ștefan OPRIȘ. He launched an appeal to shift the public discussion from the investments necessary for energy production and transport towards the investments needed to reduce energy waste. As an example of good practices in this area, Ștefan OPRIȘ presented the implementation of the project for the energy efficiency of thermal installations in public buildings in Cluj Napoca, where the solution from the partner company GFR-Germany was used. This project received the EXCELLENCE IN ENERGY AWARD in 2017 in the ENERGY EFFICIENCY category.

LISSCOM provided the conception, design, execution, assembly, service, and maintenance for this system, which performs, at the city level, the management of thermal energy for 73 buildings (schools, universities, dormitories, canteens, sports halls, kindergartens, ANL housing complexes) coordinated from a single dispatch center (datacenter) by a single operator. The system generates significant savings on energy consumption, but also administrative savings. The project was also appreciated by the citizens present in the hall, who are indirectly the beneficiaries of these energy efficiency investments.

Conference ā€“ Energy Efficiency ā€“ Energynomics

ENERGYNOMICS organized an event on October 19, 2017, in Brașov, with the theme ā€žCost-effective solutions for energy efficiencyā€. This highly interesting topic attracted the participation of interested companies and final consumers, including local public authorities, to realize the real and tangible benefits of energy efficiency solutions.

Ștefan Opriș, Marketing Manager at LISSCOM, presented the intelligent energy management system implemented in the city of Cluj-Napoca. LISSCOM provided the conception, design, execution, assembly, service, and maintenance for a system that handles, at the city level, the thermal energy management for 73 buildings (schools, universities, dormitories, canteens, sports halls, kindergartens, ANL housing complexes) coordinated from a single dispatch center (data center) by a single operator.

The first results of the implementation of the energy management system for efficiency and optimization of thermal energy were made public by the system user RAT ā€“ Cluj, for the first 10 educational units. Here, between January and April 2016, gas consumption was 12% lower compared to a similar period in previous years. Significant savings were also recorded in the administrative, service, and maintenance areas, and RAT ā€“ Cluj intends to implement the system in all buildings it will manage from a thermal point of view.

IEAS 2017 (INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC & AUTOMATION SHOW)

LISSCOM participated for the 4th consecutive year in the most important event in the field in Romania, IEAS (INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC & AUTOMATION SHOW) organized at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest from September 19-22, 2017. At its stand, LISSCOM presented innovative BMS/BEMS solutions, and during the "Smart City through automation" conference, it presented the paper SMART ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, using as an example of good practice in the Smart City field, the implementation of the thermal energy management and efficiency system in 73 public buildings (universities, high schools, sports halls, dormitories, kindergartens, apartment blocks) in the city of Cluj Napoca.

Outstanding Results by LISSCOM, 1st Place in Top Companies

The outstanding results obtained by LISSCOM materialized in its classification, for the activity carried out in 2015, in 1st Place in the Top Companies ā€“ County Phase, exclusively organized by the Brașov Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 27. The County Top of Companies is the most prestigious business event of the year, an event during which the performance of the elite Brașov business environment is awarded by activity categories.

The sources of information used were: the financial results of commercial companies for 2015 provided by the Ministry of Public Finance, the databases of the National Office of the Trade Register, as well as the information about companies resulting from the own activity of the Brașov Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Top Companies is the biggest celebration of the local business community, of those who through passion and perseverance have respected their commitment to excellence.

IEAS 2016 (International Exhibition of Electronic Equipment and Automation)

LISSCOM participated in the most important event in the field in Romania, IEAS (International Exhibition of Electrical Equipment and Automation) organized at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest from September 20-23, 2016. There, it presented innovative building BMS solutions at its stand, featuring hardware and software components supplied by partner company GFR ā€“ Germany. The LISSCOM stand was visited by numerous automation specialists, who were particularly attracted by the live presentation of BMS solutions.

Among the visitors were several potential beneficiaries of our energy optimization and efficiency solutions, through the implementation of the WEBVISION system and energy management solutions by applying the WEBENCON system, the ideal variant for managing all energy-consuming or producing systems.

Efficiency through automation and energy storage

Between March 16-19, 2016, we participated together with our partner POSTMODERN from the Republic of Moldova, at the fair organized by MOLDEXPO in Chișinău. In pavilion 2, which focused on SMART HOUSE, we presented at our stand a complete BMS solution for an individual home, which includes the monitoring and control of the heating installation with three circuits (radiators, floor, fan coils), the ventilation - air conditioning installation, indoor-outdoor lighting, shading, access control, fire hazard alarm, flood hazard alarm, etc. To achieve the presented automation, hardware and software components from the German company GFR, specialized in energy optimization and efficiency solutions, were used. In addition to the automation panel, we used equipment with wired monitoring and control elements as well as EnOcean technology.

Our stand was a special attraction for the general public and for specialists from the Republic of Moldova. The automation solutions (BMS) for smart buildings and energy efficiency presented by us were appreciated and there were numerous requests for additional information. The presentations of our solutions were followed with interest because they contained a sufficiently high degree of novelty for the vast majority of visitors, and the organizers awarded us the diploma for the most unique and original stand.

Plovdiv ā€“ Bulgaria

LISSCOM participated between September 28 ā€“ October 3, 2015, at the most important fair in South-Eastern Europe organized in PLOVDIV, Bulgaria.

At the LISSCOM & GFR stand, several building BMS solutions were promoted, featuring hardware and software components from the German company GFR. The promotion of GFR solutions caught the attention of all visitors, especially those from Bulgaria who are active in this field. Our stand attracted particular attention through the live presentation mode of the BMS solutions.

The building management system and energy management system WEBVISION and WEBENCON were also promoted, as independent systems or as a joint system to achieve outstanding energy efficiency, these two software programs being the ideal solution for managing all energy-consuming or producing systems.
