Building Management System (BMS)

What is a BMS

What is a BMS?

The BMS (Building Management System) controls and supervises building-installed equipment, with the aim of reducing energy consumption, optimizing operations, and increasing comfort and safety.

A BMS can monitor and control:

  • Heating and cooling systems,
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting,
  • Power, gas, and water supply systems,
  • Various building automations (windows, hatches, doors, etc.)

All BMS information is monitored in real time via a SCADA system.

SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. It refers to a large system that allows users to interact with the BMS in real time, viewing graphical information, operation, alarm situations, etc.

  • SCADA Server
  • Monitoring and control panels equipped with PLC and extension modules
  • Field equipment: sensors, servomotors, actuators, transducers, meters, etc.
